Here are some pictures of the large game on Saturday. 58 assorted tripods on the table. The Martian’s were attempting to move down the Frazier River valley to the city of Vancouver British Columbia. The Martian forces were moving slowly at the start of the game and it cost them. They were down 25% when we called the game. The things of note were – they shot down the spotter aircraft which took away the spotting bonus for the railroad gun. And successfully captured the passenger car carrying refugees that was fleeing toward the city. Most of them were killed. There was a small contingent of BEF forces helping with the defense. While they were mostly wiped out the gave better than they got.
Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to call the game earlier than we would have liked. The bulk of the defensive forces had not engaged the enemy when the game was called.
We are working on ideas for next years big game. First is to move to Sunday as there is only the one game period and we can go longer. We will work on other ideas to help the game flow and get the whole table involved
